🎉 We are pleased to announce that WINGS has partnered with SMEDI (Shanghai Municipal Engineering Design Institute (Group) Co., Ltd.) to successfully sign the contract with the Highways Department for Agreement No. CE 36/2024(HY) – "Principal Inspection of Lion Rock Tunnel and Associated Studies - Investigation."
This collaboration will explore the latest technologies from Mainland China for inspecting, testing, repairing, and monitoring aging infrastructures—ensuring innovative solutions for this critical project. 🔍 The primary objectives include a comprehensive assessment of the tunnel's structural health and a detailed investigation into its current condition—marking the first principal inspection since 2016, nearly a decade ago. As one of Hong Kong's oldest road tunnels, with nearly 60 years of service, a key mission of this initiative is to enhance its existing conditions, extend its service life, and ensure continued safe operation for years to come.
